== Early life and education ==
SM Farhad completed his Dakhil from Maini Gathachhara Baytush Sharaf Madrasa in [[Rangamati District|Rangamati]]. Later, he passed Alim from [[Baytush Sharaf Adarsha Kamil Madrasa|Baytush Sharaf Madrasa]] in [[Chattogram District|Chattogram]].

== Activism ==
SM Farhad was a leader of the Dhaka University Debating Society. He was a resident student of Jasimuddin Hall and served as a leader of the Jasimuddin Hall Debating Club. == 2025 DUCSU election ==

He ran as the GS candidate of the Islami Chhatra Shibir-backed United Students' Alliance panel. In the election held on 9 September, the results announced the next morning confirmed his victory.
